Cloud adaptation can result in many challenges for organizations. One of these is often the ever-increasing costs, which, however, often cannot be attributed to a business result. The flexibility, transparent and all-encompassing pricing of the cloud, and the excessive authority of the developers over the cloud capacity, together with inadequate cloud expertise, often result in a non-optimized spending model.

The solution
TC2 provides regular reviews, among other things, regarding the optimization of costs and performance, which today can also be known as Financial Operations (FinOps). The engineers of TC2, whether it is a new system or a system already operated by us, regularly test the implemented AWS infrastructure according to the following aspects:
- Is the architecture ideal for the current system usage?
- Is there a newer, more modern or otherwise more suitable AWS component that is worth using and refactoring the current solution?
- Is the current environment optimally sized and is everything stopped or deleted when not in use?
- Is the resource committed for the long term, which is possible in terms of the life cycle of this project?
