For its success in digitizing food traceability, Erba required a suitably agile platform. Standard operation, easy integration, low-cost operation, and fast and global scalability were essential for the platform, for which Erba sought expert support from TC2.
Erba systems use a variety of next-generation technologies that are effectively supported by the AWS platform. The application components run in an automated Kubernetes container management system are easy to carry and scale. Food traceability is ensured by a blockchain application module that also runs on a containerized basis.
The categorization and automatic selection of foods based on images were supported using a Tensorflow-based Deep Learning model with a machine learning algorithm. The top-notch computing capacity required for this service is provided by AWS on a pay-as-you-go basis, counted by seconds., achieving an ideal utilization and cost model.
