Doqsys

DOQSYS required a higher availability and easier to operate environment that flexibly follows needs in terms of both resources and costs.

The challenge

Migration of Basware application, IP (Invoice Processing), and PM (Purchase Management) modules from ASP service provider to Amazon Web Services cloud platform.

Company Commitment: “Every successful company has one mutual key success factor in common: they utilize the majority of their resources for their core activities, while their support functions are typically outsourced. The rapidly changing IT and business environment requires a flexible and adaptive attitude from every single company on the market. This is the very reason why more and more companies decide to purchase professional services rather than taking to investing large amounts into hiring more employees.”

“DOQSYS Business Solutions Ltd., established in 2005, is an expert in Source-to-Pay automation. Based in Hungary, Central Eastern Europe, we are serving customers locally and globally. DOQSYS provides on-premise and cloud solutions as well as outsourced intelligent data capture services based on globally proven technology as SAP Ariba, Bravosolution, Basware, Top Image Systems and Kofax.”

DOQSYS wanted to use a cheaper system that has higher availability and easier to operate that follows the resource and business needs in a flexible way.
The features of the environment to be migrated:

  • Application: Basware IP and PM modules
  • Operating system: Windows 2012 server
  • Database: MSSql 2012
  • Number of users: 1500 (concurrent users ratio is 10%)
  • Service level (SLA): 98%
  • Number of daily transactions: 1500-2000
  • Average size of transactions: 2-300 KByte
  • Data processing sites: Budapest (Hungary), Chenay (India), Washington (USA)

The solution

Having contracted DOQSYS could use the platform within two days. During the implementation, the ad hoc resource needs were available for DOQSYS for less than an hour. TC2 gave a remarkably favorable starting bid for the implementation and ongoing costs as well. As a result of continuous monitoring with predictive alarm and notification capabilities, TC2 undertook system optimization, and the initial on-demand business model will be changed accordingly. On-demand type can be made as favorable as possible. With the available Amazon Web Services (AWS) tools TC2 will monitor the system on a very high level; therefore using the set of automatisms, traditional support is not required. To address the theoretically occurring problems, TC2 proposed only per call-based support, thus ensuring significant cost savings as well. In addition to the excellent business offer, TC2 showed convincing expertise during the consultation and the delivery phase.
